How Sekka works, what it costs, how long it takes, and how to reach us.
Credits: 1 credit = $0.01. Top-ups from $5 (500 credits). You only pay for seconds you generate; failed generations are refunded automatically. First top-up doubled: add $5, get 1,000 credits.
How do I make a video?
Open the studio, describe the shot (subject, motion, camera, light) or start from a reference image, pick resolution, aspect and length, and press Generate. You can also pick a sample shot and press Make this to load its exact prompt and settings. Enhance (Director) can rewrite a rough idea into a fuller prompt; nothing is charged until you press Generate.
How is the price calculated?
Price = length in seconds × the per-second rate of the resolution: $0.10/s at 480p and $0.233/s at 720p for Seedance 2.5, that is 10 and 23.3 credits a second. A 5-second 720p shot costs $1.165 (116.5 credits). Audio is optional and costs the same. The exact price of the shot is shown next to the Generate button before you press it, and it does not change afterwards. Full table: pricing.
How do I add credit? Is there a minimum?
Credit is prepaid and shown in credits (1 credit = $0.01). Top-ups are paid in US dollars; the minimum is $5 (500 credits), with $5, $10, $20 and $50 presets; payment is handled by Stripe. You only pay for seconds you generate.
First top-up doubled: your first top-up on an account gets the same amount again as bonus credit (add $5, get 1,000 credits). It is once per account and only comes with a top-up; there is no credit without one.
Do I need a plan?
No. Pay as you go with top-ups is enough. Plans are in Beta and may not be offered on every account yet: they add credits every month, extra credits on top-ups, more videos at once, a faster queue and, on some plans, a number of free draft runs a day on a model up to a resolution. Included runs are not unlimited. Prices and amounts are shown in the studio before you subscribe and may change for future periods; credit never expires. See plans.
What happens if a generation fails?
The price is held while the shot renders. If it fails for a technical reason, the held amount goes back to your balance automatically; you do not need to ask. A prompt or image blocked by content rules is not charged either. A shot that renders correctly but is not the look you wanted is charged.
How long does a shot take?
Typically about 2.5 minutes for a 5-second 480p shot and about 4 min 50 s for a 5-second 720p shot. These come from a small sample of our own production jobs; the status page shows live p50/p90 times and success rates per resolution.
Are there limits or a queue?
Without a plan, each user can have up to 3 jobs running at once; further shots wait until one finishes. Plans (Beta) raise that limit and start your queued shots sooner. Director / Enhance rewrites are limited to 60 per hour. Current queue length is on the status page.
What can I start from?
Text (text-to-video) or a reference image (image-to-video): paste a public image URL into the image slot next to the prompt. Direct upload is coming.
Which lengths, aspects and resolutions are there?
Seedance 2.5, 4 to 12 seconds, in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, at 480p or 720p. 1080p is not open yet.
What is not allowed?
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Content that impersonates a real person to deceive, or uses someone's likeness without their permission.
- Anything illegal where you live, and images you do not have the right to use.
Blocked prompts are not charged. Accounts that keep trying may be suspended. Details: content rules.
Can I get a refund?
Technical failures are refunded to your balance automatically. Unused credit can be refunded to the original payment method within 14 days of purchase on request, minus payment processing fees; bonus credit from the first top-up is not paid out. See refunds.
How long do you keep my data?
Your generated videos and prompts stay in your account until you delete them or close the account. Delete a video from your library and it is gone at once; it is erased, with its prompt, 30 days later. Close your account from the account menu (once no credit or shot in progress is left) and support can restore it for 30 days; then its videos and prompts are erased. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires. Server logs are kept for 30 days. See privacy.
Is there a desktop app?
Not yet. Sekka runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, with nothing to install. To work on your canvases from your own computer, connect a coding agent or any MCP client from your terminal: Canvas, then Connect an agent.
